Why so much research into nanotech AI when we are sitting on a quantum computer (or in one)? We ignore the very thing that is doing all the experimenting. When will human beings stop pretending that they are not there? Hello, we’re doing cloud computing already just pretending we are not. How insane. We are looking for ever greatercomputing power when the reality is we cannot cope with our own consciousness. The threshold is inward not outward but where is the research funding. Nowhere. Its absurd.
