Research Grants
Final Report
Upon conclusion of the grant period, the following reports must be sent to SIAI. They should be sent to reports@singinst.org as attachments. Please make sure to update your contact information when sending your reports.
- The Final Report should be four pages or less, summarizing the scientific and scholarly results of your research. Your name, address and grant number should appear on the first page of the final report.
- The Final Report Abstract (225 words or less) must be submitted for publication at SIAI's website. It should be written in a style that is clearly understandable to non-specialists. It should not be in the first person.
- The Financial Accounting Report should only account for funds received from SIAI. The format should be similar to that used in the original budget request, itemizing actual expenditures and showing how figures were calculated. Significant changes from the original budget should have been approved by SIAI in advance. If prior approval was not obtained, changes must be fully explained. Please note that you may be required to reimburse SIAI for unauthorized expenditures. In addition, unexpended grant funds must be returned to SIAI upon completion of the grant period. Receipts should not be sent, but we recommend keeping all receipts for personal financial records.
The above items must be sent upon completion of the grant period. If sufficient cause for delay is not demonstrated, the grant will be designated "closed-incomplete," and the grantee will not be eligible for further support.
